Short films narrating fictional biographies into complex backgrounds of anecdotal science, ecological neuroses, and contemporary mythology with an eye for wit and the absurd. Referencing Computer Generated Imagery, the liquid visuals are entirely analogue, shot in real-time. They emerge through alchemic processes that bring ideas into matter.

Teaching
Saskia has lectured at the Slade School of Fine Art, Camberwell College of Art & Design, Royal College of Art & Design and Westminster University, and internationally at Michigan University in the U.S. and De Ateliers postgraduate programme in Amsterdam. She has taught in programmes from Fashion Design and Enterprise to Moving Image and Fine Art.
Professional Projects
Saskia has been awarded an Arts Council England Grants for the Arts, as well as the Mondrian Fund and the Elephant Trust. She has received London Artists' Film and Video Award, the Baloise Prize at Art Basel, the Prix de Rome Film & Video Basisprijsand, the Charlotte Kohler Award and the Breathing Space Award. Five catalogues have been published on Saskia's work.
Saskia's recent solo exhibitions include an Artangel commission in London and shows at the Fondation Vincent van Gogh in Arles, Museum M Leuven in Belgium, Ota Fine Arts in Tokyo and Singapore, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Osram and the Goetz Collection in Munich, and Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at Whitechapel Gallery, Tate Britain, The Hirshhorn museum Washington DC, MOCA San Diego and Art Gallery New South Wales Australia.
She has been invited to give talks and discussions for her Artangel project at the Type Archive London, Tate Britain, Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol and the Penny Stamps Distinguished Speaker Series at the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. She has served on selection committees for the 2015 East Sussex open, the RCA Metro Prize, Bloomsberg New Contemporaries, and Blink at Gasworks, London.
