From the week commencing Monday 28 September 2026, Complete Beginners will be on Tuesdays from 5.30–7pm, with Beginners/Intermediate on Fridays from 5.30–7pm.
Note: During reading weeks and bank holidays, there will be no classes unless specified by the teacher.
Course description
Learn how to master the powerful art of Chinese sword dance.
Evolved from a military training exercise into an elaborate acrobatic dance, this fun and dramatic activity combines martial arts and fencing with dance, drama and exercise to create a unique course and interesting discovery into Chinese performing arts.
Students will learn the principles of Chinese sword dance using Chinese classical dance and martial arts techniques. Classes are taught by Goldsmiths Confucius Institute teachers.
