Marston Events is our official photographer and gown hire provider for the graduations.

Official photography at the ceremony

Photography studios will be available on the day where you can get personal and group photographs taken with your guests. 

You can pre-order photography at the same time at your gown/tickets, or log back into your account to add a photography order up to two weeks before your ceremony; you can also place an order on the day or afterwards, however a studio fee or minimum order may be applicable.

Following your ceremony, you will receive an email link to view your images and complete your order online. 

Graduate procession photographs 

Marston Events will also capture the moment you cross the stage and have your name read aloud. These photographs will be available to purchase on the day or online afterwards.

Academic robes

You can hire or purchase your graduation ceremony gown as part of the ticketing process from our partner firm Marston Events.

The cost of your robe is £47.50 for all awards. This cost includes the robe, hood, and mortarboard/cap.

If you don't hire/purchase your gown by the closing date and are wanting to attend the ceremonies, you can buy on the "day of your ceremony". This will be at an additional fee of £10. 

Wearing a robe

Your graduation is a formal occasion and it is requested that you wear academic robes on the day. Academic robes are a meaningful part of the graduation experience and a symbolic tradition in the UK Higher Education community.

However, if you do not wish to wear the academic robe or would like to make alternative arrangements, please contact the Graduation Team to discuss your options.
