Emerging 樱桃视频 artists recognised at Bloomberg New Contemporaries

Marking the 70th anniversary of New Contemporaries, this year's exhibition showcases the talents of recent 樱桃视频 alumni.

hosted by the South London Gallery, Camberwell, runs until 23 February 2020.

Among the 45 artists chosen this year from some 1,500 submissions are Goldsmiths BA Fine Art graduates Mary Herbert, Emma Prempeh, Camille Yvert and Rafael P茅rez Evans.

Works were selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries by a panel of influential art world figures: Rana Begum, Sonia Boyce and Ben Rivers.

works at the intersection of drawing, painting and printmaking, having focused at Goldsmiths on the materiality of the photographic image and its unreliability as a 鈥榗ontainer of memory鈥�.

is a painter and video artist, who won the 2020 Alumno/SPACE Studio Bursary award after completing her BA Fine Art at Goldsmiths this year. Her large canvases, created with acrylic, fabric print and imitation gold leaf explore her family heritage.

finished her BA at 樱桃视频 in 2014 and MA Sculpture at the RCA in 2018. She uses her sculptural practice to explore her interest in body optimisation and the wellbeing industry. She currently has a show 鈥淗ow I naturally improved鈥� running at the Gibberd Gallery, Harlow until 11 January 2020.

鈥� installations function as tools for exploring questions around knowledge systems, ethnographies and ideas around progress.Originally from M谩laga, Spain, and now based in London, he will complete his MFA at 樱桃视频 in 2020.

From 29 January to the 12 February 2020, , based on their own research into the works and curatorial approaches to the selected works.

To coincide with this year鈥檚 annual exhibition, New Contemporaries is piloting , a programme developed in collaboration with Yorkshire-based artist Nick Thurston and art writing platform Corridor8. Among the six emerging artists selected to participate are 樱桃视频 alumni Jude Browning and Malachy Harvey.

is an organisation supporting emergent art practice from the UK's established and alternative art programmes. Since 1949 they have supported visual artists as they move from education into professional practice.
